A warm and welcoming family, recently relocated from the USA, is seeking a highly experienced Maternity Nanny to support them with their 3-month-old baby. The role will involve working closely alongside the mother, who is very hands-on. The baby is currently strongly attached to mum, so the nanny must take a calm, patient, and understanding approach in gently building trust and helping the baby feel secure with another carer.

This is initially a 1-month live-out role, with the potential to become a longer-term position for the right candidate. The ideal nanny will be confident, nurturing, and respectful of family dynamics, offering guidance and reassurance to a first-time mum while focusing on the baby’s well-being and development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supporting and gently guiding the mother as needed
• Helping to build trust with a baby who is currently very attached to mum
• Assisting with establishing and maintaining sleep and feeding routines
• Engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities
• Caring for the baby’s hygiene (nappy changes, bathing)
• Preparing and sterilising bottles, supporting both breastfeeding and bottle-feeding
• Observing developmental milestones and ensuring the baby’s overall well-being
• Maintaining a calm, structured, and nurturing atmosphere
• Offering advice and reassurance when appropriate

Requirements:

• Native or fluent Russian speaker (preferred not critical)
• Extensive experience as a Maternity Nanny, especially with newborns and infants
• Confident supporting first-time mothers with a gentle, non-intrusive approach
• Excellent knowledge of baby routines and early development
• Paediatric First Aid certified and enhanced DBS checked
• Warm, professional, and respectful communication style
• Experience in high-profile or fully staffed households is a bonus

Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexibility to start later and finish later)
Location: Hampstead, London
Contract: 1 month initially, with the possibility to extend
