Our clients, a private family residing in Kensington, are seeking an experienced, hands on, highly organised Nanny/Governess for their 2 children.

The ideal candidate will be bright, trustworthy, possess a flexible nature, be extremely organised and fundamentally have a passion for children and education. It is desirable you come from a teaching background or have experience with supporting primary age children with their education/homework.

The family are considering 2 positions:

  • A part-time after school role averaging on 33 hours per week. Typically working Monday to Friday, starting from around 1:00pm - 6:30pm during term time and 8:00am – 5:00pm during school holidays
  • A full-time role averaging on 40 hours per week. Mondays & Fridays working around 11 hours, 7:00am - 6:00pm. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday working 6 hours, 12:00pm - 6:00pm during term time. 9:00am - 5:00pm during school holidays

Duties include:

  • Collecting the children from school and afterschool clubs
  • Assistance with homework
  • Supervision of music practice
  • Scheduling additional tutors and music teachers if needed
  • Organising school bags, uniform and P.E kits for the next day
  • Arranging activities during the school holidays
  • Occasional weekend cover

The family employ a housekeeper/cook so the fundamental part of this role is the children and their education.

Location: Kensington
Contract Length: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Children: 2 children – 6 & 8 years

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Salary: Part time = circa £30,000 per annum

             Full time = circa £50,000 per annum
