Experienced Estate Maintenance Professional – Handyman/Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team, ensuring the smooth and efficient upkeep of a high-net-worth family's property. You will be a key member of the household staff, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of presentation and functionality.

Your Responsibilities will Include:

• Comprehensive Property Maintenance: Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including basic plumbing and electrical work (eg, replacing light bulbs, sockets), painting, and carpentry
• Contractor Management: Schedule and oversee routine visits and inspections by external contractors, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Grounds Maintenance: Conduct basic gardening duties, such as lawn mowing and general upkeep under the supervision of the Head Gardener
• Cleaning and Presentation: Maintain all areas of the property in a clean, tidy, and presentable condition, including jet washing pathways
• Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively, taking full ownership of tasks
• Third-Party Liaison: Oversee visits from external engineers and contractors, particularly for fire and intruder alarm systems
• Material Procurement: Order and manage materials from suppliers

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven Maintenance Experience: A versatile "all-rounder" with demonstrable experience in property maintenance
• Practical Skills: Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and gardening
• Strong Organisational Skills: The ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a demanding environment
• Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Confidently liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive and resourceful approach to resolving maintenance issues
• Reliability and Discretion: A professional and trustworthy individual with a flexible approach to work
• Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for this role

Key Details:

• Working Days: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required
• Working Hours: 8.00am to 4.00pm
• Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 gross per annum, dependent on experience
