Our clients, based in Fife, Scotland, are seeking a skilled Gardener to join their team in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of the gardens and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, a keen eye for detail, and the experience to maintain the walled garden, wild garden, and woodland areas to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Plant, cultivate, and maintain flowers, trees, and shrubs
• Water and irrigate plants as needed
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out gardening duties
• Assist in the growing of fruits in the walled garden
• Conduct groundskeeping duties to ensure the outdoor areas are well-kept
• Outdoor pool maintenance (training will be provided)
• Courtyard maintenance
• Maintaining the forest trails for guest use throughout the estate
• Designing and planning new beds
• Managing ad-hoc groundsmen when required
• Forward planning

Requirements

• Proven experience in garden maintenance and groundskeeping
• Knowledge of various plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs
• Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools for gardening tasks
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces

Days:  5 days per week, full-time
Hours:  8.00am-4.00pm
Salary:  £30,000-£35,000 dependent on experience
