Full-Time, Live-In All-Rounder Housekeeper, Notting Hill

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage all housekeeping duties with precision and attention to detail.  This includes ensuring the home is clean, tidy, and well-organised, handling laundry and wardrobe management, grocery shopping, meal preparation, pet care, running household errands, coordinating with tradespeople, and maintaining household systems.  In addition to these core housekeeping responsibilities, the role also involves assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups as needed, working collaboratively with the parents and the afternoon Nanny.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic, flexible, and experienced Live-in, All-Rounder Housekeeper to join our client's busy household in Notting Hill.  With two children (ages 9 and 11), pets (dog and cats), and a high standard of household management, the family need someone proactive, discreet, and hardworking. The ideal candidate must preferably have good English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

Household Management

  • Outstanding skills in maintaining the home to impeccable standards through exceptional cleaning, tidying, meticulous laundry care, and managing errands.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills (to be tested during interviews).

Meal and Food Management

  • Grocery shopping, and maintaining a well-organised food inventory.
  • Prepare breakfast for the family, family dinners once or twice a week, and coordinate school lunch boxes with the afternoon Nanny.

Animal Care

  • Comfortable caring for pets.
  • Provide care for the family’s pets, including walking the dog (English Springer Spaniel), managing pet supplies, cleaning the litter box, and arranging vet appointments.

Children Support

  • Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups as needed, working alongside parents and the afternoon Nanny.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK, and easy visa access to Europe.
  • Expected to travel for extended periods (mainly to Sweden and France).
  • Willing to provide some evening babysitting.
  • Strong values to model for the children.
  • Good at teamwork, kind, positive attitude, and discretion.
  • Driving: Confident driver preferred but not essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience in similar roles with excellent references.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 6.30am - 7.00pm (approx. 63 hours per week).
  • Breaks: 2 hours daily (usually no more than 1 hour at a time, but to be coordinated with the daily schedule).

Accommodation:  Spacious private bedroom with en-suite on the lower ground floor of the family’s home.

Salary:  Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.  They are a kind and fair family offering a competitive salary based on experience.
