Our client, residing in Ascot, is looking for a qualified live-in Governor to care for their 8-year-old boy.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Structuring routines
• Physical / social developmental and attending to educational needs
• Teach English in an interactive manner
• Teach reading and writing
• Play with the child
• Participate in sporting activities, go out for walks and exploring

We are searching for a candidate who is familiar with the British curriculum/teaching methods and has a teaching background in the UK to assist with improving the English and Mathematics skills of the boy. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and qualified educator with several years of relevant experience and a good understanding of child development – experience within a school and private family is necessary.

The ideal candidate will also be sporty and dynamic, with good creativity for indoor and outdoor child-friendly activities – the client is searching for a candidate who is happy to play tennis, football, go running and swimming with the boy, and in general just has a genuine love for children, with a caring and friendly personality.  The role is to become like an older friend/brother to the boy – it is essential you are comfortable to fit into this family’s life and live among them.

Start Date: Mid October

Children: 1 Child – 8 year old boy.
Working Days: 5-6 days per week
Working Hours: in the region of 48 hours per week

Accommodation: Separate bedroom with private bathroom

Salary: £2,500 NET per month - will also receive salary during the absence of the family (all school holidays)
