Our clients, a VIP couple residing between Suffolk and Banbury, are seeking a live-in Governess/Tutor for their 11 year old child, with the potential to occasionally support their elder child with GCSE subjects.

A typical working week will be Monday to Friday, 10.00am-6.00pm. This role is primarily educational focused, with no nanny duties so there will be no additional hours needed.

The ideal candidate will have relevant teaching qualifications, along with an understanding of the UK curriculum. You must be willing to be flexible in terms of schedules and work in partnership with the children’s school who are guiding the year 6 curriculum from home.

It is a MUST that you possess the following:

  • Relative experience and teaching background
  • Flexible and accommodating - this is a creative family so schedule changes are frequent and can impact schooling and timetables etc
  • Willing to travel - the family travel excessively
  • German speaker would be beneficial but not essential
  • Glowing references
  • DBS checked
  • Comfortable around animals as the family have multiple pets
  • Happy to form a COVID-safe bubble with the family

Location: Suffolk & Banbury
Contract Length: Permanent
Start Date: Mid April – after the Easter break

Children: 2 Children – 11 & 16 years old (although primarily focusing on the 11 year old)

Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 10.00am – 6.00pm
Accommodation: Self-contained cottage in Suffolk and self-contained apartment in Banbury

Salary: This will be in line with experience and qualifications
