Residential Domestic Couple
Housekeeper - Houseman - Driver - Household Maintenance

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Previous private house experience; preferably fluent English and good level of Italian; Driver essential; Child-friendly, childcare experience a big plus; EU Passport holders

We are seeking a highly organised and versatile hands-on Couple to join a large private household based in North Milan, close to Como in Italy.

The ideal Couple should preferably speak both English and ideally Italian.

This is a hands-on role with no managerial requirements.

The family of 8 includes 6 children between the ages of 11yrs and 2yrs.  A full-time Nanny is employed but essential that you love working with small children, and are willing to assist with childcare when required.  The older children all attend the British School in Milan.

Duties will include:

• Daily Housekeeping to include cleaning and laundry.
• Supervise and work with 2 daily Housekeepers to ensure the residence is maintained to highest standards.
• Wardrobe management, care of fine fabrics, delicate hand-washing, and organising dry cleaning.
• Handle all general chauffeuring responsibilities, including daily school runs, after-school activities, and regular evening driving.
• Occasional light cooking on Chef's day off.
• Household shopping and provisioning when requested.
• General childcare assistance as required.
• Take receipt of deliveries, including registered letters, mail, and couriers.
• Deal with contractors as directed by the employer or their designated representative.
• Maintain and care for cars and bikes, ensuring road tax and servicing/revision are up-to-date.
• Handle general basic property maintenance.
• Front of house duties, meeting and greeting guests.

Candidates must preferably be fluent in English, and ideally have a reasonable level of Italian with a valid drivers’ license.

EU passport holders only please.

Previous experience in a similar role within a large family home is desirable.

Working week: 5 days over a 7-day period - 10 hours per day. Weekend and evening work will be required.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience, circa €95,000 gross per annum.
