We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Live-in Domestic Couple to work for a wonderful private couple at their beautiful residence in Hampshire.  The 7-bedroom residence in Hartley Wintney is surrounded by 90 acres of land, including 10-12 acres of garden.

The ideal Couple will take pride in their work ensuring the home is run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role is perfect for a friendly, hands-on Couple with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a range of tasks.

You will be part of a dedicated team, including three Gardeners and a Grounds Manager, while the House Manager will also oversee the couple's additional properties in London, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Housekeeper: Detailed duties available upon request

  • Maintain a pristine standard of cleanliness throughout the main residence, ensuring all rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are tidied and well-organised
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming
  • Organising and rotating seasonal wardrobes
  • Laundry, washing, drying, and ironing
  • Changing and laundering bed linens and towels
  • Care for delicate fabrics, antiques, and fine furniture, ensuring they are properly maintained
  • Organise household inventories and order supplies when necessary
  • Provide personal care for wardrobes, and help with packing/unpacking when travelling
  • Assist with events or entertaining guests, ensuring everything is prepared to a high standard
  • Pet care
  • Running errands

House Manager:

  • Assisting the team with maintaining the residence, including being hands-on with maintaining the upkeep of the house and grounds
  • Oversee the management of the main residence in Hampshire, and other properties including those in London, Europe, and the Caribbean
  • Coordinate and manage the schedules of the family and household staff, ensuring everything runs smoothly
  • Liaise with contractors, tradesmen, and service providers to ensure that any maintenance or repairs are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Maintain efficient and organised systems for household administration, including budgets, schedules, and managing invoices
  • Supervise the grounds team and other household staff, ensuring high performance and quality standards are met
  • Plan and execute any property-related projects or improvements
  • Manage travel arrangements and logistics for the family’s travels between residences

Candidate Requirements:

  • Exceptional cleaning and organisational skills, with attention to detail
  • Previous experience in managing a household and liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Pet-friendly attitude is essential
  • A professional, discreet, and friendly approach to working within a private household
  • Positive and pro-active demeanour
  • A hands-on and flexible attitude, comfortable working with a team or independently
  • Fluent English is preferred
  • A full driving license is required
  • Excellent references
  • No dependants; a pet dog will be considered
