We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Head Housekeeper with house management duties for multiple private households based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have hands-on housekeeping experience, strong leadership skills, and a solution-focused approach to managing both housekeeping and household operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all housekeeping duties, and ensure high standards are maintained
• Manage and train the housekeeping team, ensuring efficient and smooth operations
• Create and organise clear, fair rotas in advance
• Manage contractors, and oversee maintenance tasks as needed
• Resolve housekeeping or household issues promptly
• Handle occasional house management tasks, including inventory management and ensuring the household runs smoothly
• Recruitment for vacant household positions, and ensure the right staff are in place when needed
• Oversee family visits and ensure seamless operations if the Property Housekeeper is away, ill, or unavailable

Requirements:

• Proven experience in housekeeping and team management
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing contractors and household maintenance
• Experience in recruitment for household positions
• Ability to oversee family visits and manage the household in the absence of the Property Housekeeper
• Flexible with a “can-do” attitude
• Excellent communication skills

Working Hours:  Monday to Friday, with weekend work as required – flexibility is key
Salary:  Dependent on experience
