Our clients, an informal and welcoming family based in Lewisham, are seeking a dependable and proactive Family Assistant/Housekeeper/PA to join their household. This is a long-term role for someone looking to build a trusted and lasting relationship with the family, spanning many years.

The ideal candidate will be a second pair of hands to the mother, supporting her in both family and personal responsibilities, and contributing to the smooth running of a busy household. They have two home-educated children (ages 12 and 13) who attend numerous activities, a friendly hypoallergenic dog requiring care, and a pet corn snake that is cared for by the children.

Key Responsibilities:

Household Support:

• Assisting with household cleaning and tidying.
• Family laundering and ironing.
• Knowledge of, and sharing in, the preparation of healthy family meals (the mother enjoys cooking).
• Caring for the family dog, including feeding, walking, and basic grooming.
• Assisting with wardrobe management for the children.
• Responding to the ad hoc requests of the principals, as needed.

Childcare & Driving:

• Transporting the children to and from activities, appointments, and outings.
• Researching and booking activities and outings.
• Providing support/guidance as and when required.
• Occasional sole care as and when required.

Personal Assistant Duties:

• Managing family calendars and schedules.
• Researching and booking travel arrangements, including holidays and short breaks.
• Organising paperwork and handling household admin.

Business Support:

• Assisting the mother with existing business and her new business venture, including ad-hoc research and admin tasks.

• Seeking a long-term role, and eager to develop a trusted relationship with the family.
• Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to the changing needs of the household.
• A clean driving licence (essential).
• A current Enhanced DBS.
• Friendly, approachable, and flexible attitude.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Animal lover who enjoys caring for pets.
• Previous experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).

Working Hours & Additional Details:

• Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work (Time Off in Lieu provided).
• Live-in option available if preferred (details available upon request).
• Own car or car can be provided for work purposes.

Salary: £38,000 gross per annum (Live-out basis)
